Cool Wallpaper

I don’t know about you, but I change my desktop wallpaper all the time. I always had trouble finding original wallpaper until I came across this website http://www.vladstudio.com/home/

Val, who runs the VladStudio design company, is a 24 year old graphics enthusiast and digital artist from Russia who designs amazing wallpaper, e-cards as well as other things. His works are very original and full of detail. And the quality is superb. He also includes some tutorials on how he used Photoshop to create some of the images.
The best thing about the site is that all the wallpaper and e-cards come for free!

DSC00264

Hey guys,

Things here are getting hectic before my exams, so I’m taking a break from Blogging.

But don’t worry, as Arnold would say: I’ll be back! :P

In the meantime enjoy this view of Ghouta :)

Syrian Sculptor

Syrian Sculptor Mustafa Ali seems to be "in" these days, so when I had the chance to visit his workshop in Bab Sharki I couldn't say no. His workshop is actually an old Arabic house that has been converted into a workshop and gallery. The Ugarit born artist sculpts mostly in bronze. His workshop is taking part in the" Colors of Damascus" competition, aiming at promoting young Syrian artists. The competition is in collaboration with Ricerca e Cooperazione and the European Delegation. Although I am more of a traditional when it comes to art, I enjoyed my visit there. Here are some photos I took:

The Syrian Directory

“Syrian Directory is an online venue for all Syrians to meet, catch up with old friends, classmates, colleagues, and family members, both within Syria and in the Diaspora.”

I first read about this on Rodwan's Blog, and I think it is a great idea to keep in touch with old friends and family members.

Take a look at it and register here: The Syrian Directory
