Syrian Sculptor

Syrian Sculptor Mustafa Ali seems to be "in" these days, so when I had the chance to visit his workshop in Bab Sharki I couldn't say no. His workshop is actually an old Arabic house that has been converted into a workshop and gallery. The Ugarit born artist sculpts mostly in bronze. His workshop is taking part in the" Colors of Damascus" competition, aiming at promoting young Syrian artists. The competition is in collaboration with Ricerca e Cooperazione and the European Delegation. Although I am more of a traditional when it comes to art, I enjoyed my visit there. Wow you're showing so much of what's in store in Syria! Makes me want to go! We finally got our visas today! Will be leaving for Madinah first tomorrow. So pray for my safe trip ya!
